1/1/11: KSR ASSOCIATES is pleased to announce the addition of three new manufacturers to our lineup; GE variable frequency drives, Addison 100% outside air DX systems and Annexair 100% outside air DX systems and custom energy recovery systems. Please visit the “Manufacturers Represented” page to visit the manufacturers’ websites or please contact your KSR representative for further information.
1/1/10: DATA AIRE introduces the gForce series of floor mounted DX and chilled water equipment. The gForce series utilizes new cabinet designs with backward curved plenum fans driven by EC (electronically commutated) motors, as well as evaporator coils with rifle tubing. Energy savings range from 20% to 40% as the result of these enhanced features. In addition, with the gForce backward curved plenum fans and EC motors, ease of service and reliability are greatly enhanced. 9/30/09: DATA AIRE introduces UNITY COOLING, a flexible, scalable and economical air management system for high density heat situations in data centers. Due to high density heat pockets present in today’s data centers, good air management is essential for efficient operation. One of the principles of proper air management is separation of hot and cold air in the data center. Data Aire Unity Cooling Systems captures the hot air from the servers in the Data Center so that all air delivered to the space is available to meet the cooling needs of the IT equipment. All IT exhaust heat is contained and returned to the facility's CRAC units. Data Aire Unity Cooling Systems easily attach to any rack enclosure, and are scalable to 30kW without disruption. Communication with existing monitoring software for real-time cooling capacity assessment and management is an integral part of the overrall system. Data Aire Unity Cooling eliminates the need for supplemental cooling, allows fewer cooling units, and keeps water or glycol loops at the perimeter of the facility. Please contact your KSR representative or http://www.dataaire.com/inside.cfm?p=highheat for further information.

3/1/09: CLIMATE MASTER has introduced their new HFC-410a 1 thru 5 ton compact horizontal and vertical water source heat pumps, part of the TRANQUILITY series of equipment. The TC series exceeds ASHRAE 90.1 efficiencies while maintaining one of the smallest cabinets in the industry, designed to be backward compatible with many thousands of older, existing water source heat pumps. This equipment includes many of the innovative sound attenuating, energy efficiency enhancing, service friendly features that have made CLIMATE MASTER the WSHP of choice for so many of the large projects rising towards the sky here in Southern California. Please contact us for your retrofit WSHP needs, as we're stocking a large volume of units locally. Please see the "Stock Products" page for links to the product literature.

3/1/09: On Tuesday, 2/24, Don Mason of our organization did a tabletop display at the Orange Empire ASHRAE Chapter meeting, featuring CLIMATE MASTER's offering of geothermal, ground-coupled water source heat pumps. With government legislation in effect containing long-term tax incentives to encourage the use of renewable energy technologies such as geothermal heat pumps, the interest in this technology is increasing very quickly in our market here in Southern California. If you have an interest in learning more about geothermal water source heat pump technology, please contact your KSR Associates sales engineer. For information on CLIMATE MASTER's website, please go to http://www.climatemaster.com/commercial-geothermal and scroll through the topics.

3/1/09: DATA AIRE has introduced their new "Data Alarm Processor III" (DAPIII) multi-microprocessor controller, standard on all floor series equipment and optional throughout the product line. The DAPIII standard communications protocol configuration is MODBUS RTU. The new design is modular in nature, creating a flexible architecture, allowing for nearly unlimited expansion potential. Some of the salient features include flash memory with a USB port for simple software updates from flash drives, fast processing and communications speeds, an on-board time clock and a hierarchal menu structure for easy access to all menu positions. The DAPIII utilizes CAT-5 cabling which facilitates easier and more convenient cable routing. To check out the new Data Alarm Processor III, please visit this area of DATA AIRE's website: http://www.dataaire.com/inside.cfm?p=downloads2&e=DAP%20III

3/1/09: DATA AIRE has completed construction of their own AIRE LAB contained in their facility in Orange, CA.. This lab enables testing in a variety of psychrometric conditions, thereby making it possible for Data Aire to accommodate witness testing on major projects as well as serving as a valuable tool in their own product research and development.

3/1/09: DATA AIRE has improved the availability of "Quick Ship" expediting programs. Currently, 1 thru 2.5 ton ceiling mounted MINI SERIES can be built as quickly as 3 working days, 2.5 thru 13 ton ceiling mounted MINI-PLUS SERIES and LARGE CEILING SERIES can be built in as little as 5 working days, as is the case with all 2 thru 30 ton floor mounted DATA TEMP and DATA AIRE SERIES equipment. In addition to their quick standard lead times, these expedited lead times are the best in the computer room A/C industry.

3/1/09: NORTEC is introducing their new, energy saving "MH SERIES" evaporative humidifier/adiabatic cooling technology, designed specifically for Green/LEED building requirements. This product is engineered for use in air handling units and duct applications where reducing the dry bulb temperature of the air and/or humidifying the air is desired. The MH SERIES utilizes V-profile media with UL 900 Class 1 Rating, hygroscopic coating, and high velocity performance at low pressure losses. An MH SERIES media evaporative humidifier/ adiabatic cooler can be constructed up to 130" x 130" in a frame complete with spray nozzles, pump, etc., with humidification capacities up to 2500 lbs. per hour. All types of water can be utilized, with easy maintenance the result with ultra-pure water applications. An advanced total controller is used to manage and monitor the MH system. This is a perfect energy saving technology for application in our Southern California climate. For further information, please contact your KSR ASSOCIATES sales engineer or check out
